  • This is one hell of a haunted house!

So I'd just like to start by saying that since 2019 this haunted house has become a staple visit for my husband and I during halloween season, and they never disappoint! In their first few seasons the building could be a bit difficult to locate but since then they have definitely taken care of that issue. The entire building is bathed in red lights, there was signs with their logo guiding you to it from the main road, and they amped up the style and dynamic of their outside area so you cannot miss it if you drive by. Props for the nice use of the 12ft tall skeleton, definitely an eye catcher. They had tickets available on site for purchase, however we just got ours online with their timed ticketing feature. Interestingly we found out that they offered three different types of tickets this year, a standard general admission ticket where you had to wait in the que line outside, a VIP ticket which allows you to bypass the long que lines meaning you get into the attraction quicker, and a Instant Access ticket which allows you to bypass all of the lines and gain instant access to the attraction. Honestly, we have never seen a haunt do an instant access option before. Since we had general admissions tickets we did have to wait for a bit, maybe like thirty minutes or so before we made it to the door, however we didn't mind it one bit as they had a wide variety of creatures and characters roaming their outside area and que lines. Roaming outside they had everything from clowns to a sewer rat to well whatever the hell Sprinkles was, my husband and I are still trying to figure that one out, Once inside the building though the entire atmosphere and environment changes, we were bombarded by actors from the get go and it never seemed to stop. The decision to start out with a post apocalyptical military setting was a wonderful touch, seeing as the building is located over on the old Chanute Airforce Base in Rantoul. As we made our way through the haunted house the settings and themes seamlessly changed around us, from an old disgusting hospital, to opossum infested swamp, to a haunted hotel filled with cultists, to an attic full of dolls, and so much more. This haunt definitely has it all and then some when it comes to variety. tTheir actors were on point and matched their rooms so well it was hard to tell if they were real people or mannequins sometimes! Plus they seemed to have actors coming out of the wood work. Every time we turned around we were being scared by a different person. I do want to give a shut out to the psycho hospital chick though! Her scare got my husband so well, I've never seen that man jump like that! We also never encountered anyone not prepared to get their scare, which is honestly surprising with how much the younger generations tend to be glued to their phones.Needless to say, they definitely ramped up the startle scares, jump scares, and the overall acting from their staff compared to previous seasons. Made it a hundred times more enjoyable for us patrons seeking some intense scares and a night of overall entertainment from this haunt!I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! It is honestly worth ever penny of the ticket price that's for sure! We are already making arrangements to return next year, if not for a second time this season!!i

  • Pretty good scares!

Lots of scares! Soooooo many actors! Great animatronics. The sound effects were surprising, but some of the actors were beyond fabulous. It was about 25 minutes long, so good bang for your buck, especially with the online discount.

  • Incredible

So realistic in design and storyline. All the actors were superb and never let any moment escape without scaring us. Special effects and animatronics were incredible, and it was completely aligned with the storyline. 10 out of 10 for setup and graphics, we would definitely visit again.

  • Email Verified Set was realistic

Necrosis was never my cup of tea but loved the way the staff had presented it. The set was realistic and had the best props and actors. The scenes had been enacted well by the actors and it was awesome to see them in their gory getup. We found ourselves rushing towards the exit even before completing it. 5 stars for the scares and creativity!!

  • Great haunted house!

This is is the second year for Necrosis haunted house. I went several times last year and plan on doing the same this year. I have not been disappointed once! Their eye for detail is simply amazing! Every room is so realistic from the diner feeling like it had been abandoned for years to the sewer tunnel giving that claustrophobic feeling. Every single room is so well thought out and so detailed. You can tell these guys take pride in their work. Nothing was left unfinished. All of the actors did a great job. They all stayed in character. I was either startled or completely scared in every room! Worth every penny and so worth the wait!

  • Email Verified high quality haunted house

This was the first time we have visited this haunt and we were pleasantly surprised. It has to be mentioned first and foremost, the set design is high level and you're introduced to this right off the bat with their main entrance being what I believe was an airplane hangar with operating fans, rust, the works. And it just continues from there. Notables to us were the cabin area with the thunderstorm effects, the swamp (OMG the swamp!!), the 50s style diner full of roaches and grime, the hotel, and the satanic church. This haunt had a lot of variety of scenes and actors. Speaking of which, the actors did very well. They have a nice mix of makeup and masks and have creepy roles, startle roles, and just downright funny roles....I won't give it away but the back alley scene had an actor who made us laugh. Overall this haunt was very entertaining and had nice balance of jump scares, creep scares, and even a little comedy and we certainly enjoyed taking in all the set dressings and "eye candy". We were very happy we decided to make the hour trek to get to it and will for sure return in the future. Great job guys!

  • Email Verified Decent for their second year

Went to two haunts in this town. This one being first . The haunt had some changes from last season some subtle and some not so much. The diner was the best part of it and had the most detail. The actors all were on point and got a lot of their pop out scares. The make up wasn’t spectacular but fit the parts. They overall looked kind of lower budget and used what they had . For what it is. It’s a good time and had fun. And good to be able to hit up both haunted houses in the same town.

  • Email Verified A Haunted House truly full of terror!

This haunted house does not disappoint. From the actors scaing people in the line outdoors to the moment you enter the building it is fully emersive. The sets are detailed to the max, actors know how to get the best scare for each group. They have definately covered all of their bases, the lighting is just right, some locations smell like they should, which was mind blowing to me. You are never not on edge and worried about what is next to come. Not to mention they have an ending that will make up uncomfortable especially if you are the religious type.

  • Email Verified great scares

Necrosis Haunted House will get to your nerves. It is one of the scariest I’d been to. Well-designed houses with different themes and bone chilling scares and props. It will hit you when you’re least expecting it. The creepy looking characters made my sons scream more than once. The staff were friendly. Ticket rates were not too expensive. If you’re looking for some great scares, choose Necrosis.

  • Email Verified absolutely amazing

It was absolutely amazing haunts and we had a good time with most of the monsters. It was late in the evening and the actors were still an energetic bunch. They knew the how-to’s of all the scares and executes them with perfection. A pocket friendly outing to spend an evening and you are sure to have a nightmare. There were wicked scenes infested with evil. People were in small groups and got lost in the middle of mayhem. This added to the scare. The priestess was straight out of a Hollywood movie and you feel the jolt. It was an amazing experience and coming back to experiment again.

  • Different scary themes

It was the scariest haunt by far I’d ever visited. Great scares and awesome props. I’d jumped few times. Attention to detail in the sets is commendable. There were multiple rooms with different scary themes. Scares were designed to look realistic. Great performance by the actors throughout. Definitely worth the wait in the line. I will come again for sure.

  • Email Verified Impressive haunted house

Necrosis Haunted House was impressive. It looked original with the sets and decorations looking realistic. High intensity scares, props and sets keeps you immersed in the horror world. You can easily tell that lots of time and effort had gone into the design of the house. All throughout the walk, the creepy air won’t leave you. Lighting and floor changes were awesome. The lines were a bit long for my liking though. Overall, the experience was worth the $15 entry fee. I will visit again with family.

  • Unique themes and scares

Necrosis had different rooms with unique themes and scares. There were many of them that it is difficult to narrow it down to one or two. Excellent props. My wife was screaming in every room. The scare factor was above par – the best I’d experienced in any haunted house till date. It took us just above 20 minutes to walk through the house while soaking in the scares and freaky scenes. To sum it up, the crew put in one heck of a show that will scare you out of your wits. The visit and well worth of our 3 hour drive. I would recommend this haunt to all scare lovers out there.

What an evening we got spend at Necrosis. All of us have made good memories and we are thankful to this haunt. We took a VIP pass which was pocket friendly and got us quickly into haunts. The haunts were pretty scary and you really do not know from where and when the next scare and that is quite thrilling. The visual effects were great with crisp sound system and the right amount of volume. There were enough people but we were in tiny groups. It was awesome and all of us are definitely back next season.

  • Email Verified LOVE this haunted house!

The staff was super friendly and the characters/rooms were the scariest I've seen out of several haunted houses. There are so many unique rooms with different themes and surprises. Definitely worth the wait in line (plus, long lines means it's popular!)The length depends on fast you rush through it. If you take the time to enjoy the house instead of running through it, I'd say it's 20 minutes of fun. Worth every cent

  • Felt like a horror movie

There were enough haunt houses in this state, but I’m damn sure this one is the best. The scenes were realistic and it flowed like good story well told. The actors were the best part of it with excellent makeup and costume. The priestess stood out. Most of the scenes were like in a horror movie and makes you feel very edgy. It was a screamy good time and most of my friends loved it. Ample car parking available and the customer service is excellent. There is no doubt we are visiting again.
