Two haunted houses at one location! Featuring Sinister House, an intense haunted house experience and Tomahawk Trail, a horrific haunted trail. We are just a short drive from Carbondale, Illinois.
Legend of Sinister House
Sinister House is a journey into the world of deranged serial killer Otis Hodge. During a time period spanning the 1920's to 1950's, Mr. Hodge turned his small farm into a haven for murderers, sadists, occultists and other deranged individuals.
Legend of Tomahawk Trail
Long before Sinister Acres was home to notorious serial killer Otis Hodge, it was home to a much older and ancient evil. Early pioneers in the region and native tribes would tell stories of a race of human-like creatures that lived in the forest and ate the flesh of those unlucky enough to wander into their lair.

Great evening of scaring! Took my 11 year old grandson and his mom, and left screaming!! Lol I don’t think I would take anyone any younger! Definitely had the adrenaline pumping! Highly recommend, but definitely not for young children!

Usually I am hard to get scared in haunted houses. But few of the scares here got to me. Beware of the dark clocked woman sitting in the chair and the growling crazed killer. There was also a lot of hidden scares at certain corners of the house. The animatronics could take you by surprise while the special effects were spot-on. The chainsaw guy was very creepy. For the terrors we saw, the prices per head was reasonable. The staff were friendly. Recommend this place.

Best Experience
Probably this was my best haunted house visit during this season. The house was really creative. There were plenty of creepy characters inside to frighten you. The character Sinister was very creepy. They were also pretty interactive. For me, the scariest character was Sinister. It even chased us around the fun house. Overall, the visit was pretty satisfactory. Must try this one.
